Homelessness sours
this will to keep going
I am sure
I will wind up against the wall
trying to get
your name out of my head
Throat keeps on
working
though I don’t know that’s
doing any good
There are holes
everywhere
& I haven’t stepped aside
I need you
to love me back
at least as hard
as this thing in my heart
